Galleries of Student Artwork

Using methods he learned as a residency artist, Tom Ferraro worked with kids from participating communities in the trail marker design process. He engaged groups of 5-50 elementary, middle and high school students in 1-2 sessions to discuss the question “What defines your community?” Together they generated community-centric designs that could be incorporated into the trail marker.

The galleries below include 264 art pieces gathered from students at McKean Elementary School, Wattsburg Elementary Center, Northwestern High School, Iroquois High School, Clark Elementary School, the Explorer Post at Asbury Woods Nature Center, Girard High School, Fairview High School, Fort LeBoeuf Middle School, North East Middle School, Corry Area Middle School and High School, General McLane High School, Union City High School and Wayne Middle School.
