5/17/2017 Lake Erie Boat Tours

It’s safe to say that if you live in or around Erie- you’ve spent a decent amount of time at the beach during the summer.  It’s a great way to relax on a day off, just pack up the family and the car and lay in the sand.  How about a different way to experience Lake Erie? We’ve got a good one for you today folks, an adventure that you can use this summer to celebrate a special occasion or just use as a nice time out that won’t break the bank.

There are three different types of boat tours we will highlight for you today that you can take advantage of this summer season.  Each has a unique venue, purpose, atmosphere and odds are you’ll like one more than the others, because one will probably fit more closely to your personality type than the other two. After reading the information we provide about each one feel free to follow the links we’ve attached if you would like to investigate more extensively or even look at cruise availability and details.

The Victorian Princess is Erie’s only authentic paddle wheeler, on which you can encounter a completely unique dining experience. This local cruise line often hosts family friendly picnic style meals while touring around the lake.  It also features weekly happy hours, lunches, brunches, dinners and specialty events. For special events the boat can be privately rented out for events such as reunions, weddings, anniversaries or any other milestone you’d like to celebrate! Most of these tours last about an hour and a half while providing an elegant venue for your family and friends to enjoy along the ride. We recommend this tour for people that have a cause for celebration, or a ladies night out!  We’ve also experienced the picnic style dining and had a tremendous time relaxing, so whichever cruise you choose you can’t lose!

Our second highlighted adventure involves Presque Isle boat tours, specifically Lady Kate.  These tours last roughly an hour and a half as well and take you for a 14 mile cruise. During this cruise you will be able to view the Erie skyline, various lighthouses, the Presque Isle beaches, Gull Point and so much more. The unique experience these tours offer come from the live narration that accompany them.  Knowledgeable guides seek out points of interest along the way and share information about the areas ecology, development, and history!  We recommend this tour for our friends who are constantly curious and seeking new information, this is definitely a way to shake up how you learn about Presque Isle!

The third aquatic venue we would like to bring to your attention is the Scallywags Pirate Adventure. This ship has a fun summer night written all over it! Is the Pirates life for you?? The Scallyways ship has a variety of interactive adventure ready for your friends and family of all ages.  This cruise provides stories, music and 16 water guns along the sides of the ship that are ready for use should you go into battle!  Scallyways also accommodates adult only cruises  on Wednesdays and Fridays for an hour and a half of pirate fun. We recommend this venue for families with adventurous tots or a grown up group of friends that held on to their high school Halloween costumes!

Now that we’ve given brief summaries of the venue options available for your at-sea adventure needs, we hope you visit them this summer! Utilize the links we’ve provided for more details on what to bring, what to leave at home, reservations and pricing along with safety guidelines for each cruise.  Prepare to enjoy Presque Isle from a new perspective this year and enjoy an adventure at sea!
