6/19/2017 Headwaters Park
We’re sharing a treat today folks, a big one. It’s not exactly a secret, but it’s definitely one of Erie’s more secluded gems. Headwaters Park is our intern’s FAVORITE outside place to visit during her free time, and she’s decided to spread the word and invite other people to experience the comfort that Headwaters Park has to offer.
Headwaters Park is unique in that it is home to the Erie County Conservation District, giving it the responsibility of conservation education and the commitment to conserving the Commonwealth’s resources. The park includes a Natural Resource Center that offers year-round educational opportunities for the improvement of Erie County. How awesome is that??
This park is located directly off of I-90 on Wager Road, and definitely deserves your undivided attention for an hour or two visit. The park consists of wooded trails that offer frequent benches, wooden staircases leading to the water and even an outdoor classroom that presents the perfect excuse to move personal or study time outdoors. The park is beautiful, secluded and leaves you with a warm feeling of comfort that you can’t help but come back for.
Don’t take our word for it though, stop by! Check out this unique safe haven and let us know how much you love it. It’s the perfect place for an afternoon walk or a study break. We highly recommend a detour to this gem next time you run errands this week! Enjoy our favorite park.
