The human body was designed to move. It is no wonder that people look and feel their best when they are eating and exercising on a routine basis. According to the (CDC) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regular physical activity helps improve your overall health and fitness, and reduces your risk for many chronic diseases.
Before beginning any fitness program, all adults ages 16-69 should take the (ACSM) American College of Sports Medicine, (PAR-Q) Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire.
Once you’ve assessed your fitness levels and/or have the “green light” from your family doctor, it’s time to get moving! The (CDC) says that including regular exercise into your daily schedule may seem difficult at first, but the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans are more flexible than ever, giving you the freedom to reach your physical activity goals through different types and amounts of activities each week. It's easier than you think!
